Vance attended Old Town High School but moved to Bridgeport Conn. to live with his father. He served in the U.S.A.F. in New Hampshire, Quam and South Korea, from 1969 to 1973 during the Vietnam era as a crash rescue firefighter. Favorite hobbies or past times are hunting, ice fishing, boating, playing guitar & jamming with friends. The family especially wants to thank Bangor Fire Dept., hospice, Bangor ANG, Green Lake friends and family, and all the family that gave their all for Vance's comfort to the end.
